Blog #1: Self introduction - Eugenia Heo

Deok-Su Palace Stone wall, 2011 Winter

Hello.

My name is Eugenia Heo. I am from Seoul, South Korea. I just came to OSU as a transfer student at this spring quarter. I lived in Seoul before I came to Columbus. Seoul is the capital of Korea. I think the greatest character of Seoul is that harmonization between modern and tradition. As Seoul was the capital of Korea during Cho-Sun dynasty, still, there are many historical places such as five palaces and four major gates of Seoul. The historical structures well blend in modern buildings. I have big interests about history and traditional culture. As I was able to visit historical spots easily, Life in Seoul was grateful for me.

Even though, I miss my family, friends and all about Seoul, I like living in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus has beautiful scenery and people are kind in here. The reason why I decided to transfer to OSU is I want to achieve my academic goal. I majored in International Trade in Korea. I realized that I need to have better English ability for getting in trade business. Then I decided to study in OSU, which has a prestigious Business school; Fisher college of Business. I plan to study International Business. Moreover, I can develop multi-culture idea for my major with facing culture diverse in OSU. I am hardworking person. I will do my best in every class, especially in EDUTL106, for building up my academic writing skill.

Thank you for reading!
