Blog #6

In Korean, I can convey my ideas easily and faster than in Englias as a second language. I think because I know Korean words more than English words. Even I think of my ideas fast in Korean, I feel stuck in my head when I try to translate Korean words into English. Depending on my grammar skills and the knowledge of the way of American style expression I need to change my meanings into a simple grammar sentences. Therefore, this process everytime when I write in English I need more time to think and the sentences are going to be simpler than when I write in Korean. However, I try to catch and express the main ideas even I convey the simple grammar sentences.

I think I know how to cite the sources, paraphrasing and using reporting verbs, but I not perfectly. I still confuse when I can use quotation mark or just commas. I want to paraphrase sentences by using other words or by making simple sentences including main ideas, but it is difficult to do I think it's because of my lackness of memorized words. I also know the reporting verbs but I think I'm having trouble with which verb is more fit into a sentence. I think my grammar or editing ability is normal because I believe that editing ability of other's writings is depending on how much I can make correct sentences. The preposition coming with a verb is still difficult for me. Practicing shortening the relative clause help me to apply in my sentences. I think I should look up a grammar book and try to solve many examples or read other's essays so that I can improve my grammar and editing. I would check my grammar and sentences making a sense by searching grammars.

I'm satisfied with my digital story script. I used a introduction of a country because people would not know much about that country. I think I need to make some highlights or edit some parts of my digital story so that people can be attracted more into.
